+ Can we include our own management system in RMS-Incident?
You can include whatever management system (reference) in RMS-Incident. Your own or references derived from certification standards, industry standards, legislation etc. If you want to include a commercial system or reference - such as the ISRS (Iinternational Safety Rating System)- you want to obtain permission from the owner of the system - in case of ISRS, this is DNV (Det Norske Veritas).
+ What is the best way to start the "learning from Accident" process?
Obvioulsy the best way to start is the way that you feel confident wiith. If you are not sure, a good way is to start small with a limited number of "active users" - you estimate the number of active users needed and then select the license that provides you with that number. If you cannot estimate the number of active users, just start small and grow later as needed.
+ What is the smallest number of "active usres" that I need to start?
If you wish to involve others in the program, the smallest number will be three. With three active users you can form a small project team to prepare rollout of the program into the organization while gaining confidence to use the program. Upon rollout you may want to upgrade to a higher linces to allow more active users.
+ What roles will "Active Users" play?
"Active Users" are people assigned specific roles within the operation of the software. Roles include: Program Owner, Portal Manager, Setup Manager, Event Owner, Action Owner, Facilitator, Event Coordinator. People may have more than one role assigend to them.

+ What does the Setup Manager do?
The Setup Manager is the person who adapts the software to the needs, terrminology etc. of the company. That may include all lists and references provided by SafetyPort when the license is being purchased and prior to rollout.
+ What role does the Event Owner play?
The Event Owner is the person with endresponsibility for the event. He/she is also responsible to see that actions are properly carried under the supervision of Action Owners. Event Owners would normally be middle managers with sufficient authority to make sure that all can and will be done.
+ What is the role of the Action Owner?
Action Owners are persons resonsible to make sure that actions assigned to him/her are done properly and on time. They should have sufficient knowlegde and authority to carry out their role. An Action Owner may not necessarily be the person who carries out the action work.

+ What role does the Event Coordinator play?
The Event Coordinator is the person to coordinate events reported without the need to log into the program, when and if that option has been selected in addition to the Basic Version of the SafetyPort software. One of the main activities of the Event Coordinator is to evaluate the event reported for further processing and assign an Event Owner for follow-up.
