With that in mind, our Associates need to meet certain criteria to enable us to properly work together to our mutual benefit. The requirements to become a SafetyPort Associate include:

To be accepted as a SafetyPort Associate, the following items will be considered by SafetyPort:

• be active in the area of safety, loss control, QESH or risk management consulting/training
• have an active and up-to-date client base
• have adequate knowledge of safety management principles and accidents/incidents causation
• be willing to receive training/instruction concerning the related SafetyPort software
• be able to provide software related consulting and training to end-users
• be able to provide first-line support to end-users
• be able to communicate in English 
• have a physical office with street-/postal address, telephone and Internet connections
• have a website suitable for marketing SafetyPort software

Furthermore you must:

• have a clear legal record and not be involved in any illegal activity.
• be able to agree with and sign the SafetyPort Associate Agreement by which SafetyPort will grant you the right to market, promote  and sell licenses to the SafetyPort SaaS software.  

Please note that entering into an Associate Agremeent with SafetyPort will, in no way, imply that you are or will become an employee of SafetyPort. You will only be bound to us as determined by the Agremeent: "The relationship of SafetyPort and Associate established by this Agreement is that of independent contractors and nothing whatsoever in this Agreement including the word "Associate" will be deemed to create a joint venture, franchise, partnership or agency relationship between the parties for any purpose; neither party is an employee, agent, partner or joint venture of the other. Under no circumstances shall any of the employees of one party be deemed to be employees of the other for any purpose."
